A highly recommended buy. Musically this is one of the best of the year and an improvement on their impressive debut. The lyrics are surprisingly thoughtful. The vinyl is bright, clear with lots of low end when needed. Wonderfully mastered, cut and pressed. The reason we all love vinyl. Purchase this now. At $16 it's a crazy great deal for a soon to be classic record. Someday these original pressings will be worth big bucks ($50-100).

Ratings are based on a scale from 0-10.

Overall Sound:

9.50

Big full sound, very 3D. The album has a lot of volume variance and it was nice to hear the openness. They resisted over compressing during mastering while keep a good overall pressing volume

Pressing Quality:

9.50

Very well pressed, the 4 sides all play well with no problems. No noticeable inner groove distortion or weave. A really beautiful pressing.

Vinyl Noise:

9.50

Almost none which is a very good thing since, as noted above, this record has a lot of quiet passages.

Overall Artwork:

9.50

Great, full size poster, gatefold and nice thick cardboard. These guys went the extra distance.

Overall Extras:

9.00

The poster is great fun even if it never gets put to use. The digital download is expected.
